New Management Concepts

My friend sent me this humorous note.

During a recent robbery in Hong Kong, the bank robber shouted to everyone in the bank: “Don’t move. The money belongs to the Government. Your life belongs to you.”

Everyone in the bank laid down quietly.

This is called “Mind Changing Concept” – changing the conventional way of thinking.

When a lady lay on the table provocatively, the robber shouted at her: “Please be civilized! This is a robbery and not a rape!”

This is called “Being Professional” – Focus only on what you are trained to do!

When the bank robbers returned home, the younger robber (MBA trained) told the older robber (who has only completed Year 6 in primary school): “Big brother, let’s count how much we got.”

The older robber rebutted and said: “You are very stupid. There is so much money it will take us a long time to count. Tonight, the TV news will tell us how much we robbed from the bank!”

This is called “Experience.” – Nowadays, experience is more important than paper qualifications!

After the robbers had left, the bank manager told the bank supervisor to call the police quickly. But the supervisor said to him:

“Wait! Let us take out $10 million from the bank for ourselves and add it to the $70 million that we have previously embezzled from the bank”.

This is called “Swim with the tide.” – Converting an unfavorable situation to your advantage!

The supervisor says: “It will be good if there is a robbery every month.”

This is called “Changing priority.” – Personal Happiness is more important than your job”.

The next day, the TV news reported that $100 million was taken from the bank. The robbers counted and counted and counted, but they could only count $20 million.

The robbers were very angry and complained: “We risked our lives and only took $20 million.”

“The bank manager took $80 million with a snap of his fingers. It looks like it is better to be educated than to be a thief!”

5 Tips to Take Your Team to the Top

This will improve your leadership skills. Take care of your team, their success will always be the success of team.

Team Plan

Always be guided by plan. It is very important to have a detailed plan to avoid wasting time and effort. Follow the success route of the successful team and individual because their experienced had been made. All you have to do is to follow their advice and take good timing and action.

Shared Visions

Having common goal is like having the same vision. Make sure that your plan is know by your team. It will be easy to become real. As a leader you must check your team if you have the same shared vision. It will be easy if your team is guided with one path and know how to handle problem. Sharing vision can help to motivate team. Even if your team is haft way there, vision will keep you going.

Giving Passion

Do what you love to do and the task will be easier. It can be seen in your priority list. The higher priority you give to a certain task will be faster to accomplish. Teach everyone to give focus in your passion and this will make your team on the top quickly.

Clear Communication

One of the most important factors to make your team on top is having clear communication. Good communication skills can bring message to everyone. Like making them understand more how everything goes and planed; how visions and passion is shared; this makes one team unite as one. Communication makes you understand every details how to get to the top.

Adjustment

Give your team a time to learn, time to adjust and adopt things. Not everything you shared will be acceptable. What is important is that you can adjust and adopt what ever it is. It will be easy when you have common goals and vision. Communication and understanding will make you and your team adjusts to problem and solutions and what must to be done.

Learning to live without recognition is a skill

I received a call from my friend Billy to help him to convert the image of horse to a gold. While thinking of horse, I saw the story of the horse and goat on my Facebook feeds.  Since the horse is giving me attraction, I got interested to read about the story.

Helping others is good, but are you still willing to help if your life will be required in the end. What if you did not know the consequences? The story of the goat and horse is perfect for this. In the end of the story, I want you to understand the moral lesson. You might find the story to be funny but in reality you might feel that you are laughing at yourself.

The Story of the Horse and the Goat

There was a farmer who had a horse and a goat.

One day, the horse became ill. So the owner called the veterinarian, who said: “Well, your horse has a virus. He must take this medicine for three days. I’ll come back on the 3rd day and if he’s not better, we’re going to have to put him down.”

Nearby, the goat listened closely to their conversation.

The next day, they gave the horse the medicine and left.

The goat approached the horse and said: “Be strong, my friend. Get up or else they’re going to put you to sleep!”

On the second day, they again gave the horse the medicine and left.

The goat came back and said: “Come on buddy, get up or else you’re going to die! Come on, I’ll help you get up. Let’s go! One, two, three.”

On the third day, they came to give the horse the medicine and the vet said:

“Unfortunately, we’re going to have to put him down tomorrow. Otherwise, the virus might spread and infect the other horses”.

After they left, the goat approached the horse and said: “Listen pal, it’s now or never! Get up, come on! Have courage! Come on! Get up! Get up! That’s it, slowly! Great! Come on, one, two, three… Good, good. Now faster, come on. Fantastic! Run, run more! Yes! Yay! Yes! You did it, you’re a champion!!!”

All of a sudden, the owner came back, saw the horse running in the field and began shouting: “It’s a miracle! My horse is cured. We must have a grand party. Let’s kill the goat!!!”

What did you learn?

Nobody truly knows which employee actually deserves the merit of success, or who’s actually contributing the necessary support to make things happen.

Always appreciate someone who is close to you. Give thanks and say I love you if you have the opportunity. It might be the last time you will see them.

Remember:

Do not change your nature. Let it grow

I am very inspired to the “Story of the Scorpion.” It is a very short story but so meaningful. The story is giving a wisdom to help you focus on your goal and priority. The story will motivate you against discouragement and understand that there is always a better ways. Some version of this story is “The scorpion and the turtle” which I heard from Eddy Chai. It helps me to understand that living things are having a different kind of nature and you must know them so that you can interact with them according to their nature.

The Scorpion and the Man.

An old man saw a scorpion drowning and decided to pull it out from the water. He calmly extended his hand to reach the creature. When he did, the scorpion stung him. With the effect of the pain, the old man let go of the creature and it fell back into the water. The man realizing that the scorpion was drowning again, he goes back and tried to rescue it but then again it stung him. He let go of it again.

A young boy standing by, approached the old man and said, “Excuse me Sir, you are going to hurt yourself trying to save the evil-vicious creature, why do you insist? Don’t you realize that each time you try to help the scorpion, it stings you?”

The man replied, “The nature of the scorpion is to sting and mine is to help. My nature will not change in helping the scorpion.”

So the man thought for a while and used the branch stick from a nearby tree and pulled the scorpion out from the water and saved it’s life.

What did you learn

Do not change your nature. If someone hurts you, just take precautions. Some pursue happiness while others create it. Let your conscience be your guide in whatever you do.

Some will join you, some will not, so what?

I love this triple SSS motivation during the time of rejections. When you are expecting good things to happens and it turns out bad, then what do you do?  I will just keep on doing my things because the in reality; Some will join you and some will not. So what? Eventually others or some one will join rather than the people think they will.

Where did I learn this word?

I’ve learn this from Jun Enduma’s training and coaching at Forever Living Products, I acknowledge him for I heard this quote first from him. He became legendary manager in Forever Living Products Philippines because of his success. He claims to be a “bodegero” stockman with dark skin complexions. Most people will reject his appearance but not for those people who believed and see the same visions he hold. Knowing that some people can see the same visions he have, this proved that words some will join and some will not will become empowering and inspiring to share. He prepared to seek people and stay with people with the same visions and dreams in life.

How does it help me to move on?

It helps me to be efficient and divert my energy to become more productive. I rather find new opportunity or people in my business than stay in the corner and wait for nothing. I know that some will join, it may be not today, and as long as I keep inviting, then people will join.

Why this principle is awesome?

Life is sometimes very depressing if you don’t know how to move on. This principle is awesome because it really motivates you to go on. It helps you to leave the past behind and set aside the things you need to for a while.

I selling products and inviting people to join in your business. This SSS must be your weapon. Rejection is depressing, but SSS can help you to move out away from depression.
